Comments: Dr. Blumenkehl has been teaching at Henry Ford Hospital for over 15 + years. He is just fantastic and very knowledgeable and open minded about all the treaments available. Plus he is great to know and talk with and very helpful and informative every step of the way. In fact the entire Gastro Dept. at Henry Ford Hospital has been involved is Liver Research for many years, and is one of their main specialties. They use a full Team approach including a Hep C Nurse, RN Coordinator, and a Psychological Division too. They will do their best to get you in ASAP and then move you along. One does not have to go downtown to the main Hospital only on minimal occassions to see the Dr.or Nurse Coordinator or Psych Team. ALL Blood Draws can be done at any Henry Ford Satellite & HAP Clinic spread throughout all the Detroit Suburbs. Its worth the occassional drive Downtown to see the Dr. and work with one of the finest Liver Centers in the USA! I personally recommend Dr Blumenkehl, but I'm sure the majority of the Drs in the Gastro Clinic at the Main Hospital are also well qualified because of the Team Approach they are all part of. They will get you with one of the more Hep-C involved Drs if Dr. B is unavailable.
